Healthcare – PPP Investments

 

WHY INVEST?

  • The Republic of Srpska  was the first in the region to introduce PPP as a form of financing of healthcare services, and the experience has been positive
  • During the last few years, the Republic of Srpska has invested significant funds in the health sector
  • There is unused potential for investments in expanding capacities, improvement of offered healthcare services, and introduction of new services in the field of spa tourism
  • The public partner may offer: property for use or location for construction of a facility; competent staff and equipment for service providing; infrastructure and other service activities; use of natural potentials (thermal sources)
  • There is a large number of qualified staff necessary for quality providing of health services in this field

 

INVESTMENT POTENTIALS

There are ten spas in the Republic of Srpska, five of which provide health care services in addition to basic spa activities as follows: Vrućica Spa, Kulaši Spa, Dvorovi Spa Bijeljina, Vilina Vlas Spa and Laktaši Spa.

 

SPECIFIC INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES


Reconstruction of the existing facilities and construction of new hospital facilities at Mlječanica, Kozarska Dubica – through a PPP – construction of new accommodation capacities, sports and recreation courts and facilities, and other forms of recreational tourism and entertainment.

 

THEY HAVE ALREADY INVESTED

Projects of building and equipping Laktaši Haemodialysis Centre, Istočno Sarajevo – Kasindo Haemodialysis Centre and Banja Luka Haemodialysis Centre were implemented based on a PPP with company International Dialysis Centre.

Projects of building and equipping Šamac Haemodialysis Centre, Doboj Haemodialysis Centre, Zvornik Haemodialysis Centre, Prijedor Haemodialysis Centre and Gradiška Haemodialysis Centre were implemented based on a PPP with company Frensis Medical Care.

Building of Banja Luka Radiotherapy Centre was completed based on a PPP with company Euromedic Diagnostic Holland.
