RS adopts Action Plan for Employment for 2020

The Government of the RepublicofSrpska, at its 75th session, held on June 11, 2020, passed the Decision on the adoption of the Employment Action Plan in the Republic of Srpska for 2020.

For the implementation of this plan in 2020, funds are planned in the total amount of 10 928 106.90 KM and it is planned to employ 2 209 people.

 

Based on the experience and the degree of implementation of active measures from previous years, as well as the funds available for financing employment programs in 2020, the implementation of the following programs is proposed as follows:

 

Support to employment and self-employment of the unemployed: children of killed fighters, war veterans and demobilized fighters of the RS Army - Project "Together to Employment". This is a continuation of the employment of veterans, because the projects so far have given significant results. Funds in the amount of 1 000 000 KM have been provided for the implementation of this measure for employing 190 persons from these categories.

 

Partnership support program in the implementation of active employment and self-employment policies with local communities - pooling of funds for employment. This measure is contained in the Employment Action Plan for the first time, with the aim of including local self-government units, through pooling of funds, together with the Ministry and the Employment Bureau, in the implementation of active employment measures aimed at increasing employment rates in Republic of Srpska. Funds in the amount of 200 000 KM are planned for the implementation of this measure.

Employment support program for young people with a university degree and secondary education in the status of trainees, which also includes children of killed fighters. Funds in the amount of 4 023 009.60 KM are planned for the implementation of this measure, of which 3 696 619 KM will be allocated for financing trainees with a university degree. This program envisages the employment of a total of 615 people without work experience (it finances the employment of trainees with a university degree with  the status of children of killed fighters, as well as the employment of trainees with a secondary school diploma children of killed fighters and other trainees with a university degree).

 

Training, additional professional development and retraining program, for the needs of employers. Funds in the amount of KM 199 500 have been provided for the implementation of this measure. This program will include a total of 104 people who will go through these programs.

 

Program to support employment and self-employment of target categories in the economy (unemployed persons over 40 years of age, women victims of domestic violence, women victims of war torture, women in rural areas, residents of orphanages that have completed their education). Funds in the amount of 5 275 000 KM are provided for the implementation of this measure. This program envisages the employment of a total of 1 261 persons, of which 1 030 persons are expected to be employed by employers, while 231 persons would be covered through self-employment.

Roma Employment Support Program in the Republic of Srpska in 2020. For the implementation of this measure, funds were provided from the budget of joint institutions in the amount of 230 597.30 KM. This program envisages the employment of 39 people.
